From delegates and speakers to leading organisations across the built environment, hear from the people who experienced the inaugural Neuroplaces.
Piers Roberts, Neurodiversity Advocate, Founder – Neuroinclusive Design Collective
The energy of everyone involved transmitted itself very powerfully; an audience that wants to know more and a whole array of deep experts with something to say, products and services to offer.
Kavya P Krishnan, Accessibility & Universal Design Expert, Mobility Mojo
Three days at NeuroPlaces in London, and my brain is still buzzing. In the best way.
Three days of conference got really busy very quickly. The nature section gave me somewhere to sit, breathe and reset; it shifted a headache on two of the three days. Every busy conference should have one. Huge thanks to Nathan Reuby and Eliza Reuby for putting NeuroPlaces together. Phenomenal three days.
Andrew Pitt-Nelson, Workplace Design Manager, Government Property Agency
Huge congratulations to Nathan Reuby and Eliza Reuby on a fantastic event – the inaugural Neuroplaces has really delivered!
It was genuinely great to see neuroinclusion taking up this much space on a stage of that scale. It's a topic that's spent years being treated as a nice-to-have, so watching it finally get the attention it deserves felt like a real moment.
The room was full of leaders in the field, and there's so much to learn just from being around people who are wrestling with the same questions from different angles. Oliver Heath's keynote on the overlap between neuroinclusive design and biophilia was a real highlight, particularly the discussion on where we can push PAS 6463 further.
I am already looking forward to next year!
Matt Winslow MRTPI, Director of Planning & Garden Town at Epping Forest District Council
I am sure we all have those times when we have that argument with ourself that we cannot afford to take time out of our busy schedule to focus on what our professions call CPD, but what I like to think of as my 'professional wellbeing' .
This week I won the argument and took myself off to Neuroplaces held as part of Shoreditch Design Week and it did not disappoint. The welcome, content, discussions and exhibitors had all come together to showcase how a more inclusive world needs to embrace neurodivergence differently, including in design and town planning to make things more equitable for all.
We all have a lot to learn and think about that is for sure!
David O’Coimin, CEO, Nook Sensory Pods
Well, that’s a wrap at one of the best events I’ve had the privilege to be part of. Neuroplaces set new standards not only for neuroinclusivity boundary-pushing but also for what an event ecosystem can be.
Craig Moffat, Global Hotel Product Manager, TUI
A great few days at Neuroplaces with some really interesting conversations around neurodiversity, inclusive design and creating spaces that work better for everybody, it’s given me plenty to think about.
Creative Activity
We’ve had some great conversations, made new connections and shared plenty of ideas around creating more inclusive, sensory-aware spaces where people can feel comfortable, focused and supported.
Ambispace
Last week, George Bone-Knell had the pleasure of representing Ambispace at Neuroplaces 2026, and what an incredible experience it was.
Over the three-day event, he connected with people from all walks of life, from someone living just a mile away from our factory in Doncaster to visitors who had travelled all the way from Japan. We're excited to have made so many valuable new connections and look forward to continuing these conversations in the weeks ahead.
It was a fantastic three days for Ambispace, and we're excited for what's next
Rebecca Jilks, Part 2 Architecural Assistant, Baily Garner
I've made so many inspiring connections, and it genuinely feels as though we're on the brink of something exciting within the industry. It's been inspiring to see so many people come together, sharing their knowledge, experiences and passion, all with the common goal of creating places that better support neurodiversity, wellbeing and accessibility for all.
Neuroinclusivity is becoming an increasingly important part of conversations around architecture, planning and the built environment, and it's a privilege to be part of that movement. Thank you to the incredible Nathan Reuby and Eliza Reuby for organising Neuroplaces, a first of its kind event (you’re making huge waves!).
Mattio Zallio, Professor, Cambridge University
Still buzzing from Neuroplaces, such a brilliant mix of ideas, people and practice around how we can design better, more inclusive places. Really grateful for the work done with with Nathan Reuby, Eliza Reuby and David O'Coimin from Nook sensory pods, and for all the thoughtful work shared by so many practitioners across the conference.

I haven't written an article on LinkedIn before, but I was so inspired by the Neuroplaces conference I couldn't summarise my feelings on the brilliance of the event in a few words.
I’m delighted to have been part of such a fantastic inaugural event. Neuroplaces will be a vital platform for shaping the future of neuro inclusive design and I implore everyone to keep up your excellent work even when you are faced with challenges, lack of understanding and financial pressures.
Sophia Gravina, Founder, Spira Design
I attend a few design events throughout the year, but Neuroplaces felt quite distinct. It was a great reminder that good design for neurodivergent people often results in better environments for everyone. A fantastic event, and one I’m already looking forward to returning to next year!

A huge thank you goes to Nathan Reuby and Eliza Reuby on the incredible launch of the first Neuroplaces event. You really have created something very special.
As someone who is neurodivergent and works in accessibility and inclusive design it was genuinely exciting to be in a room where neuroinclusion wasn’t being treated as a optional extra or an afterthought, but as something that belongs right at the heart of how we think about places and spaces.
Professionally, I’ve spent years looking at accessibility and inclusive design so Neuroplaces brought together two things that are incredibly important to me: what the evidence and design guidance tells us, and what lived experience tells us.
There was so much knowledge in the room, and it was brilliant to connect with people approaching neuroinclusive design from varying disciplines and perspectives. I left feeling inspired, challenged and, most importantly, even more impassioned that neuroinclusive design needs to become part of the way we design places from the very start.
A brilliant event, and hopefully the start of many more conversations.
Manuella Hartmann, Neuroinclusive Workplace Consultant, Business Psychologist & Interior Architect
Our neurodivergent children of today will enter the working worlds of tomorrow. In working environments that hopefully do not force them to constantly adapt – but promote their individual skills and potential. Neuroplaces in London makes me look enthusiastically into the future.
Jim Taylour, FIRA
A very worthwhile Neuroplaces event this week.
Great speakers including Dr Shelley James - The Light Lady and great networking including Nichola Adams and Rob from Citizens with Experience … and importantly great conversations with exhibitors that are offering positive solutions in this space including Charlotte Trudgen of acou.space and Chris Barlow of Remtek Workplace.
LakeRidge Solutions, Healthcare Construction Specialists
A great event at Neuroplaces! As our work in neurological rehabilitation and specialist healthcare continues to grow, it’s important for us to understand how design can better support the needs of patients, staff and families.
They came away with valuable insights, interesting conversations and fresh ideas around sensory needs, accessibility and creating more inclusive healthcare environments.
We’re looking forward to taking these learnings into our future projects and continuing to create spaces designed around the people who use them.
Anderson Acoustics
Thank you to the Neuroplaces team for bringing together such a thought-provoking programme, and to everyone we met and spoke with throughout the event. We left feeling energised by the conversations and encouraged by the growing momentum behind evidence-based, neuroinclusive design.
Amy Roebuck, AIRE Design Studio
The event was scoped to public space and workplaces, and rightly so. That is where the standards and the budgets are. Credit to Nathan Reuby and the team for getting those people into one room.
Mima, Certified B Corp
Reflecting on an inspiring 3 days last week at Neuroplaces. Three days packed with insightful panel talks and workshops with inspiring projects and case studies. Plus highlighting the vital role of lived experience and research in shaping design guidance.
Great to catch up with clients and connections too! Thank you to the NeuroPlaces team, we’re looking forward to next year.
Liz M, Inclusive Design Lead, TP Bennett
I really enjoyed attending the Neuroplaces. Having the opportunity to gather together and listen to new perspectives brings fresh energy into the work we do on a day to day basis at TP Bennett.
There were some new thoughts and angles around language, biophilla, and sensory design that I want to take time to reflect on, and look at ways of implementing them into the projects we create.
Thank you to the organisers for a great event.
The Access Association
The programme is over, but the conversation isn't. It was lovely to see lots of our members attending the Neuroplaces event this week. A fantastic series of talks brought together some important thinking about how people experience the built environment; from sensory experience and cognitive load to predictability, wayfinding and lived experience.
For the profession, there is a lot here to reflect on.
Charlotte Trudgen, Acou.Space
What a show! Timely - providing a platform for designers and suppliers to illustrate real solutions for all. Adaptability being key. Thank you Neuroplaces
Paul Reynolds, Principal Consultant, Mima
It was a really engaging opening day. I enjoyed hearing from such a wide range of speakers and connecting with people across the industry. The breadth of disciplines represented made the conversations especially valuable.
The themes of fully engaging with user teams/customers throughout the design process, and grounding decisions in context specific research and science, really stood out for me. It was inspiring to feel a collective determination among such a broad spectrum of design professionals to go beyond minimum requirements and create meaningful choice for everyone in how they experience and use spaces.
Remtek Workplace, Exhibitor & Sponsor
Thanks to Neuroplaces for putting on a brilliant event, we’re already looking forward to next year.
Edaurdo Manzano Fontecha, Senior Consultant, Anderson Acoustics
Tuesday was a day very well spent... I began the morning with a coffee over the wildlife reserve nearby my home, and it set a great tone for a day of brilliant talks on neuroinclusive and biophilic design at Neuroplaces 2026, part of SDW.
Thank you Nathan Reuby, Eliza Reuby and team for putting this together and challenging our industries to do better.
Placemarque
It's the final day of the Neuroplaces Expo at Shoreditch Design Week, and we've officially run out of business cards! Honestly, the best problem to have.
Over the past three days we've met people from the healthcare sector, designers, teachers and many more, all asking the same question: how do we make places work better for everyone?
We've also loved seeing the work of our fellow exhibitors; from furniture, materials, acoustics and lighting to training and education, all helping to create places that are more inclusive and responsive to neurodivergent needs.

Hannah Bradley, Workplace Psychologist, Overbury
I’m on my way back from Neuroplaces in London with a notebook full of scribbles, a head full of ideas and a real sense of optimism about where our industry is heading. The sheer volume of people that showed up demonstrates that neuroinclusive design is no longer a niche conversation.
There are some truly brilliant people driving this work forward, translating research, lived experience and innovation into practical changes that make everyday environments work better for more people. It was inspiring to hear directly from those leading the way.
The exhibitor space was equally inspiring, showcasing innovations that are helping turn inclusive design principles into practice. From biodynamic lighting and tactile finishes to solutions focused on sensory experience and cognitive accessibility, there was plenty to explore and experience first-hand.
Huge thanks to Nathan Reuby for creating such a brilliant space for these conversations to exist. Looking forward to seeing Neuroplaces continue to grow!
