One Year to go Until Doors Open!
We're officially one year out from NeuroPlaces 2026, UK's first B2B conference and exhibition for neuroinclusive public space and workplace design, across built and digital environments. Since inception, NeuroPlaces has grown from an idea to a movement with one shared mission: to create spaces that work for every kind of mind.
What Venues are Saying...
"At the EICC, we are committed to creating a space where everyone can thrive. Aligned with our vision to create an environment which inspires ideas that change the world, we are excited for NeuroPlaces 2026. We look forward to further learning, sharing best practice, and driving neuro-inclusive design across our venue and our industry."
Amanda Wrathall, CEO, Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC)

Hear from our Venue Sponsor, BDC
"We’re delighted to have been chosen as the host venue for the launch of NeuroPlaces 2026 and are excited to work alongside Nathan and the team in delivering an event that showcases the importance of designing with neurodiversity in mind. Being able to learn from and collaborate on this event, provides an opportunity to demonstrate the vital role we all play in creating environments that truly reflect the diversity of human experiences, and that through this, all people are able to engage, connect and feel valued.”
Max Bull, Executive Director, BDC

Floorplan and Founding Exhibitors

Exhibitor Spotlight with Huus

Huus creates nature-inspired pods for rest and respite in an increasingly chaotic world. Each Huus pod is freestanding, sound-insulating, and easy to install, crafted from the highest quality, fire-rated, recycled materials. Choose from our range of products, or commission us to create your perfect site-specific design.

Huus was founded by autistic designer Freyja Sewell, who brings her lived experience and deep understanding for sensory needs into every Huus design. This commitment has earned Huus recognition as a Certified Autism Resource by the IBCCES.
At the heart of Huus lies biophilic design; a scientifically grounded approach that integrates natural materials, forms, and patterns into our built environment, which has been proven to be beneficial to mental and physical wellbeing.

Huus exists to dramatically reimagine interiors for the better, enhancing human well-being through spaces that are both beautiful and practical.
Founder, Freyja Sewell comments,
"I am so excited to part of an event like NeuroPlaces, where the cutting edge emerging design language of neuroinclusivity can be celebrated and shared. I believe the paradigm shift we are seeing in our understanding of neurodiversity is an incredible opportunity, to create new products and spaces that are actively beneficial to all our mental health."

NeuroPlaces Visits RNIB (Royal Institute of Blind People) |
The Grimaldi Building was a collaborative design effort between Buro Happold, Kay Elliot Architects, and the RNIB. It is the first UK building to fully adopt the BSI PAS 6463 standard.
From Vision to Inclusion: Lessons from the RNIBAs founders of NeuroPlaces, we are always seeking visits that are rich with learning opportunities in sensory accessibility and inclusion. The RNIB embodies this completely. With invaluable insights into how environments can be designed to support those with visual impairments as well as neurodiversity. These are lessons that resonate powerfully with our mission at NeuroPlaces, to help public venues and workplaces to create sensory-friendly spaces for everyone. We were lucky enough to have a tour from the wonderfully knowledgeable Tricia-Marie Smikle (Head of Programmes – Office of CEO). We also met one of our Advisory Board members, Jean Hewitt, who happened to be at the RNIB at the same time as us. This was a delight. It was great to meet in person after many emails, we shared our mutual enthusiasm for inclusivity and progress of the show so far! |

Accessibility in Action
From the moment we arrived at the RNIB, the impressive building appears serene in the hustle and bustle surroundings of King’s Cross. Upon entering the ground floor, we were instantly struck by the attention to detail in the small yet deliberate design features.
The first thing we noticed was the tactile flooring, which allows visitors to identify where they are. This is not only useful for visually impaired individuals who might be using a cane but also for those with sensory profiles that are particularly in tune with their physical surroundings.
The ceiling is adorned with acoustic panels which aid in absorbing unwanted background noise, helping those who are sound sensitive to concentrate on tasks or conversations. Sound clarity is so evident the moment you walk in and creates a real sense of calm.

"ND Stories" with The Founders of NeuroPlaces
We are collating ND Stories from neurodivergent individuals and their experiences in public spaces and workplaces. This month, we are sharing our story, which led to the creation of NeuroPlaces alongside our daughter, Orla.

Read about our mini co-founder, Orla, who teaches us every day about autism and the world around us. Read our ND Story here.
