A Message from the Founders
We launched NeuroPlaces in October 2025, and it's hard to believe that a casual kitchen conversation between two tired parents has transpired into something much bigger. Our idea has gathered momentum in ways we never imagined, with influential people and organisations telling us, "This is exactly what's been missing." The response has been overwhelming and has further confirmed that there is a real need for change.
At the centre of it all is our autistic daughter — and mini co-founder — Orla, who reminds us every day just how much the environment shapes who feels welcome. She is the reason that NeuroPlaces exists. In moments where spaces feel overwhelming for Orla, our mission gives us a quiet sense of determination and hope.

After all, this isn't about fixing people — it's about fixing environments.
We want to say thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. Your belief in what we are doing is crucial as we continue to strive to improve the landscape for neurodivergent people. We are creating something where intention turns into action and real-world change feels achievable.
We wish you all a Happy New Year, full of collaborations, progress, and — most importantly — neuroinclusion. Let's make it a goal for 2026!
Thank you,
Nathan Reuby & Eliza Reuby, Founders of NeuroPlaces

We can't wait to share who is joining the NeuroPlaces movement this year!
Partnership Spotlight with Neurodiversity in Planning

Neurodiversity in Planning is a neurodiverse network run in a neurodiverse way. The network is passionate about raising acceptance of neurodiversity among town planners and other built environment professionals, and increasing understanding of its importance to decision making, policy, research, and practice.
The Neurodiversity in Planning network advocates for how individuals and organisations can best support and empower people to live and work in environments to enable them to thrive. The network does this through collaboration, sharing experiences, developing toolkits and guidance, supporting events, producing digital content, and other activities.
Some of the resources the network has produced include:
By factoring neurodiversity into the ways we work, design places and engage with communities we can amplify the diverse abilities of, and reduce disabling factors for people of all brain types.

“The theme of Neuro Places – “Places for Every Mind” – directly aligns with the core values of Neurodiversity in Planning, to bring about systemic change and embed it into how we work and learn. What better way to make places for everyone, than to make places for all brain types!” (Matthew Harmsworth, Associate Planner, Neurodiversity in Planning)

Interested in Exhibiting but unsure about budget and ROI?
Exhibiting at NeuroPlaces is an investment that comes with many familiar questions:

NeuroPlaces exists for organisations doing thoughtful, value-led work desired to make real change rather than just noise. Conversations are more focused, audiences are more intentional, and the likelihood of follow-up is higher because neuroinclusion is already a shared priority.
As an emerging field, the organisations who invest early in neuroinclusion don't just benefit financially, they help shape standards, language and expectations.
This kind of investment builds:
Being remembered as an early mover
Starting conversations that continue long after the event
Becoming a trusted reference in a growing movement
Shaping how neuroinclusion is understood
Your investment in exhibiting supports both real change and generates financial return.

"At the EICC, we are excited for NeuroPlaces 2026. We look forward to further learning, sharing best practice, and driving neuro-inclusive design across our venue and our industry."
Advisory Board Spotlight with Andy Williamson - Managing Director, Welcome Brain
We are bringing together a wonderful team of Advisory Board members, all playing a vital role in shaping NeuroPlaces 2026.

This month, we are getting to know Andy, who specialises in neuroinclusion across events, workplaces, and community settings. He is our official inclusion show partner, and will be working alongside us to ensure that NeuroPlaces is as neuroinclusive as possible.
Andy advises organisations on audits, training, and design strategies that make environments more accessible and engaging, translating neurodiversity research into practical solutions that benefit both neurodivergent and neurotypical communities.
At Welcome Brain, work is centred on helping organisations move beyond box-ticking to embed neuroinclusion in a meaningful, sustainable way. That includes re-thinking communication practices, designing with sensory accessibility in mind, and equipping teams with training and toolkits that make inclusion part of everyday culture.
Partnering with NeuroPlaces is an exciting opportunity to showcase these principles on a public stage. Welcome Brain will contribute a hands-on workshop, panel insights, and tailored event design guidance — demonstrating how neuroinclusive approaches strengthen not only events and public spaces, but workplaces and communities more broadly.
We are so thrilled to have Andy on board!

A Shared Goal for 2026
In 2026, we'd love to see more organisations move beyond intention and start asking harder, more practical questions about the spaces we create. How do they feel to move through? How do they quietly exclude? And what small realistic changes could make a meaningful difference?
NeuroPlaces is all about bringing people together, sharing real-world solutions, and helping inclusive design become part of everyday decision-making.
So let's make this year the most neuroinclusive year so far! Let's put intentions into actions and make those vital connections that lead to progress, designing for every mind.
