DAY 1 • TUESDAY 15 SEPTEMBER • 16.40 – 17.00
Presentation: Rethinking Practice: Embedding neuroinclusion into architectural education and design

An exploration of how inclusive design is (and isn’t) being embedded into architectural education and professional practice.

This session examines the role of training, mindset, and industry standards in shaping future environments — and asks what needs to change to make neuroinclusion a fundamental part of how buildings are conceived and delivered.

  • How inclusivity is currently addressed within architectural education and training

  • Gaps between theory, teaching, and real-world practice

  • The role of architects in driving systemic change in the built environment

  • What needs to evolve for neuroinclusive design to become standard practice
